It is impossible to know how a professional user of ChordEase would need to work with chords because all of the chord types and other information that are contained in your application would be unknown.
Anyway, ChordEase for Music Xpression will hopefully be helpful. Here is what we think of a typical music Xpression user and what they would expect to see in ChordEase.
I believe that most chord software would allow the user to work with at least one diatonic minor and one augmented chord type and use those chords from a given key.
As in our DAWs, one would want to be able to import their own chord libraries into ChordEase. Libraries from other software may not be of immediate use to you. This would be the case if you have imported a chord library from a different software and then wished to mix chord types together. If you imported a chord from a software library not compiled by us, I do not know how that library is compiled and how the information is stored.
I have included chord libraries for a few famous software applications in ChordEase. The information is stored in a comma-delimited text file. Why does ReadProcessMemory() fail when I run my program with VirtualAllocEx()?
I have a strange problem that I can’t solve. When I use the VirtualAllocEx() function of kernel32.dll to allocate memory inside my program’s process – my program cannot access this memory. The ReadProcessMemory() function cannot access memory that I allocate with VirtualAllocEx().
The strange thing is, if I run the same program with VirtualFree() and FreeVirtualMemory() the program is able to access that memory that I allocated with VirtualAllocEx().
Can someone explain why it doesn’t work with VirtualAllocEx() and ReadProcessMemory() while it works with VirtualFree() and FreeVirtualMemory()?

It works only on VxD memory.
In your case it causes a crash of your process:
First you allocate only paged memory (VxD), then you free it with VirtualFree().
